We aim to reply within a few working days. Reports of calculation errors are checked first. If we find a mistake, we fix it and update the page's "last updated" date. You can see how each calculator is tested on our methodology page.
Reporting a calculation error
It helps a lot if you include:
- The calculator you used
- Your figures: profit, accounting period and number of associated companies
- The result you got and the figure you expected
- Where the expected figure came from, such as your accountant, HMRC or a tax return
The quickest way to share your figures is the Copy link button under any result. Paste the link into your email and we'll see exactly what you entered.
What we can't help with
We can't give personal tax advice or look at your company's accounts, and we can't contact HMRC for you. For advice on your own situation, speak to a qualified accountant. For questions about your tax account, contact HMRC directly.
